Location
This position is based at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Norwood, MA, owned by Hobbs Brook Real Estate LLC. The hotel features 230 modern, smoke-free guestrooms (including allergy-friendly options), complimentary Wi-Fi, parking, fitness center, and indoor pool. With 28 meeting rooms and 40,000 square feet of event space, the hotel accommodates meetings, conferences, and social events. Dining options include One Bistro and Zachariah’s breakfast buffet. The Norwood location provides easy access to Boston, Providence, Gillette Stadium, Legacy Place, and nearby commuter rail and Amtrak service.

Schedule
Flexible scheduling required, including early shifts starting at 10am and evening shifts ending as late as 12am. Open availability is required to align with business needs, including days, nights, and weekends. This is a 24/7 operation, so holiday coverage is required (except Christmas Day unless an event is scheduled).
Responsibilities
- Provide courteous table service to all dining room guests, including welcoming guests, taking orders, and delivering/retrieving courses promptly.
- Serve meals and drinks using proper serving techniques.
- Accurately record food and beverage charges in the POS system (Micros) and balance sales at the close of the shift.
- Set dining room tables with proper linen, China, and silverware prior to service.
- Perform side work duties such as folding napkins, refilling salt/pepper shakers and sugar bowls, and organizing supply storage.
- Ensure compliance with state and local sanitation codes.
- Maintain a positive attitude to create a welcoming first impression.
- Greet all customers professionally and handle difficult situations (e.g., disgruntled customers).
- Complete all side work at the end of the shift.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of prior wait staff experience in a high-end restaurant environment (2 years preferred).
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
- Personable, friendly, and committed to excellent customer service.
- Professional posture and ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
- High school diploma or GED required.
Pay
The hiring range for this position is $8.15 per hour plus tips. In accordance with Massachusetts law, all tipped employees are guaranteed to earn at least the applicable state minimum hourly wage. If an employee’s combined hourly wage and tips fall below this threshold during any shift, Hobbs Brook will make up the difference. The final salary offer may vary based on geographic location, education, skills, and experience.
