About the role
Bisquick Packaging Technician – Kansas City, MO
Responsibilities
- Supports production packaging and processing operations
- Sanitation and participation in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment
- Works 8-hour shifts, including 1st shift: 7 am to 3 pm, 2nd shift: 3 pm to 11 pm, and 3rd shift: 11 pm to 7 am
- Willing and able to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Operates all packaging lines
- Performs preventive and reactive maintenance activities
- Performs quality checks including HACCP checks, seal tests, weight tests, code dating, metal detector, check-weigher, in-line magnets, and code dater checks
- Maintains written documentation
- Participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Affords assistance in training new employees
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of machine operating experience
- At least 1-2 years of mechanical and/or technical experience in manufacturing or related industry preferred
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
- Must be able to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
- Must be able to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
- Must be willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
- Must be willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
- Must be able to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment

Pay
$26.80 per hour starting, with progressive pay increases to $29.14 per hour after full completion of required trainings (1.5 years on average)
Schedule
- Shift differential of $.55 per hour for hours worked on 2nd shift and 3rd shift
Location
The Kansas City plant provides job growth opportunities in most departments and promotes positive relationships throughout the facility, fostering a collaborative work environment.
