Birdwood Golf - Maintenance and Landscaping

About the role

Operate equipment for routine tasks as instructed and perform routine manual labor or related work as required. This is a seasonal position ending in December with the possibility of promotion to full time.

Responsibilities

• Mow greens, tees, fairways and roughs
• Rake and edge sand bunkers
• Change cups and pin locations, while re-locating tee markers
• Hand water greens and tees
• Weed eat and weed flower beds
• Dig holes and trenches
• Rake, blow and pick-up leaves
• Empty trash and clean work areas
• Assist with irrigation maintenance
• Assist with snow removal
• Contribute to overall resort team effort by completing additional duties as assigned

Work outdoors in the field approximately 90% of the time and indoors 10% of the time. Required to work independently on tasks approximately 70% of the work day, while working with co-workers on various projects 30% of the time.

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends and nights if needed
• Ability to learn how to operate golf course maintenance equipment
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable: Previous golf course maintenance experience; Knowledge of the game of golf.
