Biometrics (Fingerprint) Technician - On Call

About the role

This is an opportunity to work with the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) in meeting the mission of administering the nation’s lawful immigration system. As a Biometric Technician (BT) you will support the USCIS Application Support Center (ASC) operations in Aurora, CO. Amentum provides all required job training for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States.
• Ensure all who enter the ASC are approved applicants and visitors while providing interior and exterior crowd control and assisting staff in enforcing ASC rules and policies.
• Provide front‑line customer service as representatives of Amentum and on behalf of the United States Government.
• Display a cheerful and inviting demeanor, smile, manage applicants with sensitivity and courtesy, and ensure applicants are treated with respect.
• Safeguard areas where Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is vulnerable, such as applicant paperwork, identifications, electronic biometric data, and reports.
• Perform quality biometrics processing: capturing electronic fingerprints, photographs, and signatures within established program‑wide processing times.
• Screen applicants entering the facility to ensure they have a valid appointment notice and identification allowing entry.
• Utilize crowd control barriers (stanchions or rails) to ensure a safe and organized entry.
