About the role
These positions are as-needed opportunities and offer flexibility in scheduling and highly competitive pay. We send you out to local companies within your area to perform health screenings for the employees of the companies.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform and record biometric testing results including, but not limited to height, weight, blood pressure, body fat, and BMI (Body Mass Index)
- Blood testing including fingerstick and / or venipuncture blood draws in a fast-paced environment
- Preparation of specimens for storage or additional processing
- Set up and break down portable blood draw / biometric station(s)
- May need to transport supplies to and from health screening events (lifting up to 20 lbs.)
- Maintains the logs and records for all Laboratory transactions and information in accordance with department and regulatory requirements
- Must have morning availability (Monday-Friday) for event-based employment
- May require other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required
- Current national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR one of the following:
- Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands-on externship completed
- Over 100 successful fingersticks within the last year or a minimum of 200 successful venipuncture blood draws within the last 6 months
- Active state specific Phlebotomy certification is required for candidates performing phlebotomy in NV, CA WA, and LA
- 1 year of experience of Health Screening or Phlebotomy experience preferred
- Must be available to work a PRN, event-driven position
- Ability to pass a full background check
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be computer / internet savvy
Skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Previous venipuncture and/or fingerstick experience
- Ability to use a manual blood pressure cuff
- Tech savvy and excellent communication skills
- Punctual, responsible, and able to work with limited supervision
- Possess professional demeanor and appearance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possess a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to show proof of professional credentialing
- Knowledge and skills necessary to collect blood samples from patients
- Ability to work independently, in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with Safety and organizational policies and procedures
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred
Pay
While a number of factors influence pay range, our estimated compensation for the posted area is $27-$32 an hour. Please note, this is a general guideline and your geographic location, role at the event and other factors will be taken into consideration.
Schedule
Flexible schedule, event-based employment with morning availability required (Monday-Friday).
