Biomedical Technician II

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, installations, troubleshooting, and calibration of biomedical equipment (including PCs and imaging devices).
• Mentor BMET I staff, coordinate with vendors, and maintain expertise through ongoing training.
• Participate in on-call rotations and travel between affiliate sites as needed.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the CMMS system, maintain equipment inventory records, and adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) and all state/federal regulations.
• Communicate equipment status and service updates to clinical staff, provide education on proper use, and support safe, effective patient care delivery.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or other Technology/IT related program; military Biomedical Engineering Technician course graduate required.
• Experience: Minimum two (2) year’s documented Biomedical Engineering Technology experience AND currently meets all BMET II job function requirements required.
• Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license (DRLC1IA, DRLC1IL, DRLC1WI) required. AUTOINS required for driving a personal vehicle.
