About the role
The Biomedical Equipment Technician will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting biomedical equipment used in the Biosafety Cabinet Program.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of biosafety cabinets and related equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance checks and calibration of equipment.
- Respond to equipment malfunctions and provide technical support.
- Document all maintenance activities and report findings to supervisors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of biosafety cabinet operation and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Skills
- Proficiency in diagnostic testing and troubleshooting.
- Experience with autoclave operations and sterilization techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
