Job Summary
As our Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET), you will be a crucial technical specialist, ensuring the safe, functional, and reliable operation of vital medical equipment. Every day you will inspect, calibrate, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of biomedical devices. You'll maintain accurate service records and provide technical support to clinical staff, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of biomedical devices.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to biomedical equipment.
- Provide technical support to clinical staff to ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to identify areas for improvement in equipment usage and maintenance.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical, related IT, or Mechanical Engineering or related field OR equivalent military education OR graduate of technical program OR equivalent training validated through training certifications
- One (1) year of equivalent experience
- Driver's License: CA (AUTO:CA)
- Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively in a team environment
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Must be familiar with Google Suite and internet based applications
Preferred
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in the standardized situations
