About the role

This role will repair, calibrate, install and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of high cost, complex medical instruments, at University of VT Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Repair, calibrate, install and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of high cost, complex medical instruments.
• May require occasional evening and/or weekend work.
• Travel to and from worksites may be required.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in in Biomedical technology or electronics with three years related experience required.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain and driver’s check may be required.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Qualifications

• Effective communication, customer service and computer skills required.
• Certification as a Biomedical Equipment Technician desirable.

Skills

• Knowledge of biomedical equipment and its operation.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Background Check required for this position.
• A post-offer pre-employment (POPE test) physical examination is required.

Pay

• Anticipated Pay Range: $24-$30 per hour.
