Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance per guidelines on returned equipment.
  • Clean and disinfect equipment per policy.
  • Document cleaning and routine maintenance as defined by guidelines.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to standard cleaning supply inventory.
  • Ensure timeliness, quality, and prioritization of equipment cleaning and disinfecting.
  • Follow proper procedures to reduce the risk of accidents, injuries, and complaints.
  • Conduct general equipment repairs.
  • Maintain the pressure washer and air compressor; notify the manager in case of breakdown or need for repairs, supplies, or replacement.
  • Launder soiled rags, bags, slings, etc.
  • Ensure equipment returned to the dirty area from the previous day and stock truck run is cleaned by the end of each day.
  • Report unsafe conditions associated with returned equipment.
  • Identify contaminated equipment and adhere to the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) company policy.
  • Retain knowledge of and consistently adhere to procedures for the use of PPE, infection control, and hazardous materials handling.
  • Fill compressed oxygen cylinders per company policy.
  • Fill liquid oxygen stationeries and liquid oxygen delivery vehicle per company policy.
  • Understand the responsibilities and duties of other Materials Management Department Employees and willingly help outside the Biomed Department with prior approval of the Biomed Manager.

  • Ability to clean, test, and repair home medical equipment.
  • Accurately receive, stock, retrieve, and load equipment and supplies.
  • Work cooperatively with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities and tasks.
  • Independent decision-making.
  • Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • One (1) year experience in equipment repair.

Pay

$21.00 Per Hour
