Responsibilities

• Adhere to and support the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
• Adhere to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
• Demonstrate support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures that affect specific job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Maintain biomedical equipment (establishing, adjusting, calibrating, testing).
• Conduct tests; ensure compliance to codes; follow manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshoot and repair; call for special service; maintain equipment inventories; complete test records; sterilize equipment.
• Adjust, calibrate, test, and document equipment performance.
• Write, review, and execute test procedures; document test results (records).
• Maintain biomedical equipment supplies inventory; anticipate needs; manage orders.
• Maintain client/patient/company confidentiality; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Complete employee training requirements.
• Maintain a safe and organized production/test lab.
• Assist with other functions as requested.

Requirements

• Associate of Applied Science Degree (Electronic Engineering Technology or Biomedical Engineering Technology or equivalent) REQUIRED.
• One year of experience working in a biomedical tech capacity.
• Valid Driver’s License.
