Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Certifications: Certified Associate in Biomedical Technology (CABT) within 1 year - Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI); Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) within 1 year - Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI)
• Education: Associate's Degree in a related field
• Experience: In lieu of education, experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Exhibits a comprehensive understanding and can communicate the use of devices supported.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of clinical equipment, radiological, and network medical systems.
• Demonstrates the ability to oversee department related projects.
• Mentors BMET 1 technicians.
• Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment with minimal supervision.
• Provides comprehensive support of acuity equipment for direct patient care.
• Familiar with the operations and environment utilized to support hospital, clinic, et.
• Capable of troubleshooting and repairing medical equipment independently specifically when on call.

Pay & Benefits

Pay & Benefits:

The compensation range for this position is $24.53 per hour - $40.97 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
