About the Role
This position plans and implements an instructional program and provides related educational services for students. The role involves managing student behavior, assessing and evaluating student achievement, and modifying instructional activities as required. It also includes carrying out a variety of student monitoring and control activities.
Serving as a general education classroom teacher, this position may teach single or multi-grade level classes, subject-specific, skill-based, or specialty-oriented courses. While duties are typically performed within a team or departmental setting, independent work may be required in unique teaching specialties.
Assignments may include science labs, industrial arts/technology, or other education labs where heightened monitoring is necessary to reduce the risk of accidental student injury. The position operates under the general supervision of a principal and/or other designated administrator.
Responsibilities

- Monitor and control student activities to ensure safety, particularly in lab settings.
- Teach classes that may span single or multiple grade levels, subjects, skills, or specialties.
- Collaborate within a team or departmental setting, or work independently in specialized teaching roles.
- Perform duties under the general supervision of a principal or designated administrator.
