Biology, Integrated Science, or Agricultural Science Teacher

About the role

This full-time, on-site position is based at Delton Kellogg Schools in Delton, MI. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in designated science courses, using a variety of teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and conduct classroom and laboratory activities
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain accurate records
• Create a safe, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment
• Integrate real-world and agricultural or biological applications where appropriate
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to promote student success
• Participate in professional development and contribute to school initiatives
• Attend meetings and events as required

Schedule

• 2-3 Biology sections (1-2 with an agricultural science focus)
• 1 AP Biology
• 1 Wildlife and Natural Resources course

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate (or eligibility), preferably with endorsements in Biology, Integrated Science, or Agricultural Science
• Content knowledge in Biology and Microbiology, with the ability to teach core scientific concepts and applications in biology-related or integrated science courses
