Biology Expert (In-Person Research)

Overview

Handshake is seeking Biology PhDs with expert-level experience in Molecular Biology, Virology, and/or Microbiology to support an in-person AI research event in Seattle. You'll use your advanced biological training to evaluate AI-generated content and provide feedback on biological concepts, experimental design, scientific reasoning, and technical problem-solving.

About the Event

• Location: Seattle, Washington
• Participants must be available to attend in person
• Travel expenses will be reimbursed for selected Fellows located outside Seattle
• Tentatively planned for the week of September 8

Responsibilities

• Design rigorous, domain-relevant questions
• Review AI-generated responses for accuracy, logical consistency, and scientific rigor

Qualifications

• PhD-level expertise in Molecular Biology, Virology, and/or Microbiology
• Strong background in advanced biological concepts, experimental methodology, data interpretation, and scientific reasoning
• Prior red-teaming experience is strongly preferred
• Availability to participate in person in Seattle during the week of September 8

Pay

$150/hour
