Biologist I

Embark on an impactful career journey as a Biologist I in Worcester, MA with a top-tier global pharma leader. Operating within the Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) team, you will support late-stage clinical and commercial manufacturing of therapeutic proteins. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional eager to learn, perform hands-on lab work, and analyze crucial process data.

Responsibilities

• Run lab-scale downstream experiments to support process investigations, root-cause analyses, and process improvements.
• Conduct purification, filtration, and data collection to support late-stage clinical and commercial biologics.
• Perform data monitoring, trending, and review official documentation for continuous process verification.
• Apply GLP and GMP principles to all lab activities, instrument usage, and documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally across downstream and upstream teams to achieve key project milestones.

Requirements

• Associate, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline (0-2 years of Biotech experience preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry, analysis, and report writing.
• Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
• Positive, results-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to work an 8-hour day schedule, including weekend work when necessary.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with downstream purification, filtration, pipetting, AKTA, Chromatography, or UFDF (preferred).
• Cell culture handling and aseptic technique experience (preferred).
