Responsibilities

• Lead HDR’s growing Colorado Environmental Sciences Program with applied experience in delivery of biological and ecological science services.
• Manage tasks, monitor progress and workflow, ensure quality control, establish schedules, and prepare related documentation.
• Manage and support a team of environmental scientists, balancing competing workflows and project requirements to ensure quality delivery of services to internal and external clients.
• Manage individuals or a team to meet business metrics, support staff growth and development, and coordinate staff planning and hiring.
• Meet billable project goals by leading environmental sciences tasks and projects, assigning tasks, and collaborating with resource specialists and engineering teams.
• Develop and screen project alternatives and prepare technical reports.

Requirements

• Master’s degree preferred in biology, wildlife biology, ecology, environmental science, or related fields.
• Project management experience on smaller projects preferred; task management experience required.
• Experience focused on biological and ecological sciences in the transportation, energy, or water markets.
• Experience with projects in Colorado and/or regionally is preferred.
• Strong writing skills and demonstrated ability to participate collaboratively on diverse technical teams.
• Maintain effective relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
• GIS and/or graphics skills preferred but not required.
• Preference given to local candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience.
• Professional registration, license, or certification may be required based on role.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Good leadership and organizational skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture.

Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles are eligible for limited benefits.

Pay

Colorado: $134,442.00 - $192,060.00 (depends on skills, experience, education, and geographical location).
