Bioengineering Contractor
About the role
Our Cambridge based biotech client is looking for a skilled, detail-oriented researcher to support cutting-edge work in cell biology and advanced bioprocessing. Responsibilities
- Perform biological assays to assess cell quality, including qPCR and flow cytometry
- Work across both manual and automated bioprocess workflows on an advanced cell manufacturing platform
- Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in an electronic lab notebook
- Compile, interpret, and communicate results through written summaries and presentations to the Bioengineering team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in bioengineering, biology, or related field, plus 3+ years of hands-on lab experience
- Strong mammalian cell culture skills, including PSC/iPSC and PBMC experience
- Practical experience with microscopy and flow cytometry
- High attention to detail, reproducibility, and experimental rigor
- Ability to independently run repeated workflows while staying highly collaborative
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, cross-functional R&D environment
Qualifications
- Experience with iPSC reprogramming, gene delivery, or RNA-based transfection is a plus
- Familiarity with Python for data analysis or workflow scripting is a plus
- Experience with laboratory automation systems is a plus
