About The Role
We're looking for PhD-level Biochemists to help train and refine cutting-edge AI models on advanced scientific topics. Your deep domain expertise will directly shape how AI reasons through complex biochemical problems — from protein folding to metabolic flux — making a real impact on the future of AI in life sciences.
What You'll Do
- Design Advanced Problems: Create challenging biochemistry problems across domains like nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, enzyme kinetics, and drug-target interactions to rigorously test AI performance.
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions: Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for high-level AI scientific reasoning.
- Audit AI Outputs: Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy, safety, and scientific integrity.
- Refined AI Reasoning: Identify logical errors — such as incorrect stoichiometry, flawed stereochemistry, or misapplied biological principles — and provide structured feedback to improve AI reasoning in life science contexts.
Who You Are
- Advanced Degree: PhD (completed or in final stages) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
- Deep Domain Knowledge: Strong expertise in one or more areas such as structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, bioinformatics, or molecular genetics.
- Strong Scientific Writer: Able to communicate complex biological and chemical concepts clearly, precisely, and concisely in written form.
- Detail-Oriented: High level of precision when working with chemical equations, molecular diagrams, and experimental reasoning.
- No prior AI experience required — we'll get you up to speed.
- Nice to Have: Experience with data annotation, data quality, or evaluation workflows; Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST; Background in science writing, peer review, or technical editing.
