What You'll Do

  • Design Challenging Problems — Craft advanced biochemistry questions and scenarios spanning nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, enzyme kinetics, and drug-target interactions to rigorously test AI reasoning.
  • Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for high-level scientific reasoning in AI systems.
  • Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and quantitative analyses for scientific accuracy and adherence to established standards.
  • Identify and Correct Reasoning Errors — Spot logical failures such as incorrect stoichiometry, misapplied stereochemistry, or flawed mechanistic reasoning, and provide structured feedback to improve AI performance.
  • Work Independently and Asynchronously — Complete tasks on your own schedule with no meetings required.

Who You Are

  • PhD (completed or in final stages) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related discipline
  • Strong foundational expertise in one or more of: structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, bioinformatics, or molecular genetics
  • Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in written English
  • High attention to detail when working with chemical equations, molecular diagrams, and experimental logic
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, evaluation, or quality review workflows
  • Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST
  • Background in scientific writing, peer review, or curriculum development
