About The Role
We're looking for PhD-level Biochemists to help train and refine cutting-edge AI models on advanced scientific topics. Your expertise will directly shape how AI systems understand and reason through complex biochemistry — from protein folding to metabolic flux analysis. This is a rare opportunity to apply your deep domain knowledge in a high-impact, flexible remote role.
What You'll Do
- Design Challenging Problems — Develop advanced biochemistry questions and scenarios across domains such as nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, enzyme kinetics, and drug-target interactions to rigorously test AI performance
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions and expert-level responses that serve as benchmarks for AI scientific reasoning
- Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical derivations for technical accuracy and scientific validity
- Refined AI Reasoning — Identify logical errors in AI responses — such as incorrect stoichiometry, flawed stereochemistry, or misapplied enzyme kinetics — and provide structured feedback to improve model performance
Who You Are
- Advanced Degree — PhD (completed or in final stages) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field
- Deep Domain Knowledge — Strong foundational expertise in areas such as structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, bioinformatics, or molecular genetics
- Clear Scientific Writer — Able to communicate complex biological and chemical concepts accurately and concisely in written form
- Detail-Oriented — High precision when reviewing chemical equations, molecular diagrams, reaction mechanisms, and experimental protocols
- No prior AI experience required — we'll get you up to speed
- Nice to Have — Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or scientific review workflows
- Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST
- Background in scientific writing, peer review, or technical editing
