Alignerr partners with leading AI research labs to build and refine cutting-edge models. We need PhD-level Biochemists to help us get the science right.

Responsibilities

• Design Advanced Problems — Craft challenging biochemistry questions across domains like nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, structural biology, and drug-target interactions to rigorously test AI performance.
• Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop precise, step-by-step technical solutions and benchmark responses that serve as the scientific standard for AI reasoning.
• Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and quantitative reasoning for technical accuracy, scientific validity, and safety.
• Refined AI Reasoning — Identify logical errors such as incorrect stoichiometry, flawed stereochemistry, or misapplied enzymatic principles, and provide structured feedback to improve model performance on life science tasks.

Requirements

• Advanced Degree: PhD (completed or in final stages) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
• Domain Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge in one or more of the following: structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, molecular genetics, or bioinformatics.
• Clear Communicator: Able to translate highly technical biological and chemical concepts into precise, well-structured written explanations.
• Detail-Oriented: High level of precision when reviewing complex chemical equations, molecular diagrams, reaction mechanisms, and experimental protocols.
• No prior AI experience required — your scientific expertise is what matters.
• Nice to Have: Experience with data annotation, evaluation, or quality assurance workflows; Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST.
