Bio Process Scientist

About the role

As a Bio Process Research Scientist at Elanco, you will be part of the Technical Services & Manufacturing Sciences team, focusing on the commercialization and optimization of animal health vaccine manufacturing processes. Your role will involve applying scientific expertise to solve complex manufacturing challenges and leading technology transfer initiatives. You will work closely with Research & Development and Manufacturing to advance innovative vaccine products from development to commercial production. This position emphasizes a commitment to improving productivity, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support the transfer of new vaccine products from Research & Development into commercial manufacturing.
• Apply scientific expertise to troubleshoot complex vaccine manufacturing processes and implement effective technical solutions.
• Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.
• Lead technology transfer activities to ensure successful implementation and robust process control.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments using Design of Experiments methodologies.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Microbiology, Virology, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biology, or another relevant scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience supporting vaccine, biologics, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
