Bingo Host- On Call (Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino)

About the role

Responsible for Bingo floor sales, cashiering, prize distribution, money handling, and calling while providing superior guest service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an upbeat personality for all interactions with guests and fellow employees.
• Proactively anticipate customer needs by continually searching for guests requiring service.
• Handle customer disputes to ensure all guests have an enjoyable experience.
• Build familiarity with guests, remembering names and personal details.
• Demonstrate strong money handling skills in selling bingo paper and paying off winners, including providing correct change using mental math.
• Understand documentation required for transactions.
• Possess thorough working knowledge of various Bingo games and equipment.
• Maintain basic knowledge of other services and games offered at the property.
• Understand department policies and procedures, including those pertaining to Federal and Regulatory laws.
• Exercise appropriate discretion in identifying situations requiring management attention.
• Know the calendar and special promotions and communicate them to Bingo guests through one-on-one interactions and announcements.
• Coordinate with Bingo Supervisor and Security to detect and prevent cheating or damage to gaming equipment and report floor irregularities.
• Act as a role model, presenting oneself as a credit to the organization and encouraging others to do the same.
• Work scheduled shifts and positions, including providing coverage for staffing and business needs.
• Be available to work any shift on any day.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience required.
• Strong money handling and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of casino rules, procedures, and regulations pertaining to Bingo Operations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers and across departments and management levels.
• Well-groomed appearance.
• Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations.
• Ability to maneuver all areas of the Bingo Hall.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and push/pull up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Sense of urgency to keep up with fast-paced business practices.
• Ability to work calmly and professionally in stressful situations.
• Ability to tolerate areas with secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
• Excellent vision (including peripheral) for game security.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to respond to visual and aural cues.
• Manual dexterity and coordination to handle large quantities of bingo papers.
