Bindery Set Up Operator

About the role

Nosco is seeking a Bindery Setup Operator at our Gurnee, IL facility. This role operates on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate available equipment to meet production objectives.
• Perform cross-training to operate all finishing assets in the Bindery department.
• Carry out minor preventive maintenance and repairs, reporting any mechanical issues to the Manager and Team Lead.
• Maintain machinery in good working order.
• Absolutely follow quality system procedures.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting all departmental needs, including On-Time Delivery (OTD).

Requirements

• Preferably 2+ years of Bindery (literature folder gluer) or similar technical skills operating machinery.
• Experience with basic Quality systems and documentation.
• Flexibility to work any shift and overtime.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Physical requirements: Twisting, turning, squeezing, grasping, reaching, reaching over equipment, kneeling, crawling, pulling, extended periods of standing, ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Long periods of concentration.
• Speech, hearing, and vision are essential for job functions.

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $20.00 - $34.00 per hour. The actual base offer will depend on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
