Bindery Print Finishing Specialist

About the Role

As a Production Finishing Specialist, you will be responsible for the finishing and completion of projects in the center. This role also includes staging and preparing completed jobs for delivery or shipment to our clients. You will operate various machines and equipment to finish printed products, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders to determine instructions and specifications for finishing projects.
• Operate finishing machines such as cutters, folders, collators/stitchers, and other production equipment to assemble finished products.
• Work under pressure and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
• Maintain records, including daily production logs, using specified forms.
• Follow all quality control procedures as instructed by management.
• Perform additional essential functions to ensure high-quality customer service and product output.
• Lift heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs), dispose of trash, maintain a clean work environment, and handle paper stock.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience operating finishing equipment in the print, signage, or related industries.
• Positive, professional attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Problem-solving skills and cooperative interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work quickly and neatly.
• Basic math skills and proficiency with computers.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs safely and work at a waist-high table for extended periods.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, prioritize workload, and multitask to meet deadlines.
