Locations: Brentwood, TN Categories: Structural Engineering Overview Job Description TRC Worldwide Engineering, Inc. is seeking a BIM Technician to join our Structural Engineering Group in Brentwood, TN. Key responsibilities can include and are not limited to:Key responsibilities can include and are not limited to: Interpret construction documents in order to create detailed 3-D models which can be used to build and maintain a structureDevelop detailed designs for various structures, specifying dimensions, materials, and procedures and draw-in minute details of structures and componentsLayout and draw schematic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and structuresReview and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followedPosition instructions, notes and comments onto drawingsModify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies and resolve design problemsConnect with internal and external customers to assess needs and provide deliverables that are accurate and preciseCoordinate with other team members to ensure quality and schedule are maintainedCreate reports and downloads to assist other team membersAdditional duties as assigned Requirements 2 or 4 year degree in Architectural Technology, CAD Drafting and Design or related educationRelevant work experience will be considered in lieu of education 3-5 years of previous experience in structural engineering designAble to interpret and understand construction drawingsAbility to communicate engineering requirementsHigh proficiency operating in Revit/BIM/3D software requiredAbility to think critically to solve problemsExcellent organizational and time-management skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work with multiple functional groups to coordinate the flow of informationAbility to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines and customer expectationsProficient computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite and business software About Our Company SERVICE I INNOVATION I QUALITY Founded in 1989, TRC Worldwide Engineering, Inc. is a full service, multi-disciplinary engineering firm, providing exceptional quality and service in: Structural, Steel Detailing, Restoration & Inspection, MEP, Transportation, Parking Structure Design and Architectural Support.
