BIM Project Coordinator

About the role

EXP is searching for a BIM Project Coordinator to join our growing and dynamic Miami, FL office. We design buildings across the country and world, and we're looking for someone who enjoys working independently, communicating proactively, and collaborating within and beyond project teams.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud tools to generate drawings based on the BIM Execution Plans and specific project requirements.
• Prepare and maintain construction documents.
• Manage model production and drawing production involving all AEC disciplines.
• Advise and provide technical assistance to team members relating to BIM.
• Avoidance and resolution of conflicts in virtual 3D space using clash detection software.
• Ensure project model data is accurate, compliant with industry and company standards, and readily accessible to relevant parties.

Requirements

• Sufficient understanding of the design and construction process is an asset.
• Experience utilizing Revit for building design is preferred, but experience in building trades is an acceptable alternative.
• High School diploma required. Technical school certificate for training in the use of Revit or Associates Degree with technical and Revit training preferred.
• Minimum two to four years of experience with 3D and parametric design and a functional understanding of building information modeling (BIM).
• Minimum two to four years of experience utilizing Autodesk Revit software to produce construction drawings.
• Ability to utilize Autodesk Revit application to produce construction documents including floor plans, sections, callouts, 3D views, and schedules, in a timely fashion.
• Experience with computer programming, software engineering, or scripting (such as Python, C#, Dynamo, or other automation tools) is a strong asset, as these skills translate well to BIM workflows, automation, and process optimization.
• Ability to understand and develop digital workflows, troubleshoot technical issues, and apply logical problem-solving approaches commonly used in programming environments.
