BIM Modeler

About the role

The BIM Modeler will join ARCO/Murray Engineering's Mechanical Engineering Design Group based in Downers Grove, Illinois. This role involves modeling complex projects ranging from Industrial, Process Solutions, Entertainment, Controlled Environment Agriculture, Commercial, to Manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D equipment models to show final utility connections and coordinate different subcontractor trades
• Develop deliverable drawings for schematic, permit, construction, shop, and fabrication level of detail projects
• Apply basic knowledge of building codes, industry standards and other criteria in the development of project designs
• Produce material takeoff reports to aid in project estimating and procurement
• Collaborate with design and construction team to optimize design, run Navisworks coordination meetings, and prepare clash detection reports

Requirements

• 1-5 years of modeling experience with mechanical, plumbing and/or process systems for industrial and commercial buildings
• Experience using Revit
• Experience producing permit and construction drawings
• Experience working on Design/Build projects is a plus

Qualifications

• Related degree in BIM or Construction related design/modeling

Skills

• Proficiency in Revit
