BIM Lead - Architectural Designer BIM/CADD

About the Role
This role is ideal for a Senior Architectural Designer or BIM Coordinator who is ready to take on a leadership role in driving BIM coordination and digital delivery across multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
Responsibilities
- BIM adoption, digital delivery, and workflow optimization across multidisciplinary project teams.
- Develop and manage high-quality BIM models to meet project requirements, including LOD standards and documentation outputs.
- Provide staff training, mentorship, and technical support for Revit, Navisworks, ACC, and other BIM tools.
- Support and participate in model coordination and clash detection using Revit, Navisworks, and ACC, to deliver coordinated designs.
- Coordinate BIM processes with consultants to ensure model alignment, compliance with standards, and smooth data exchange (COBie/IFC).
- Produce accurate and comprehensive 3D models and generate associated 2D drawings and schedules directly from the BIM model.
- Review, audit, and evaluate models, workflows, and software to support quality control and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement automation and scripting workflows to enhance efficiency and model accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure alignment of design intent and constructability.
- Support construction-phase coordination including RFIs, submittals, and field issue resolution.
- Develop visualizations and model-based presentations to support design communication and client engagement.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of BIM leadership or digital delivery experience, preferably within a design consultancy environment.
- Proven experience with large, multidisciplinary design teams and complex projects across all phases.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and ACC in multi-disciplinary workflows.
- Strong experience with model coordination, clash detection, LOD standards, and BIM data management (familiarity with COBie/IFC preferred).
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across remote offices.
- Comprehensive understanding of building codes, design principles, construction methodologies, detailing, and overall project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam and MS Office Applications.
- Experience with scripting/automation (Dynamo, Python), Revizto, and Autodesk Forma.
- Familiarity with BIM standards, LOD frameworks, and model-based coordination processes.
- Experience supporting or contributing to BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
- Visualization experience using tools such as SketchUp, Lumion, or similar.
- Exposure to advanced technology or high-complexity facility projects.
- Interest in automation or scripting workflows.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Professional certification in BIM or related field (e.g., LEED AP, AIA).
- Experience with Revit, Navisworks, and ACC in multi-disciplinary workflows.
- Strong understanding of building codes, design principles, construction methodologies, detailing, and overall project delivery.
- Experience with model coordination, clash detection, LOD standards, and BIM data management (familiarity with COBie/IFC preferred).

The base salary range for this position is $54,100.00 to $84,550.00; however, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
