About the role

In this position you will oversee all BIM work on selected projects, assisting Senior BIM Designers, Engineers, and other project team members with the development of 3D models and 2D contract documents using REVIT and AutoCAD. The work will focus primarily on Water, Wastewater, Green Infrastructure, and Resiliency Projects.

This is a Mid-Level role where you will develop and supervise project staff and processes related to the implementation of BIM for project controls. You will coordinate processes for complete model life cycle development and functionality, including 3D model development and integration. You will also review and validate construction models, perform clash detection, and develop project Navisworks federated models.

Teamwork is integral at Arcadis. You will assist project teams by providing and formatting information from virtual models throughout the project lifecycle, including using models and visualizations for presentations and reporting construction progress.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee BIM work on selected projects.
  • Assist with the development of 3D models and 2D contract documents using REVIT and AutoCAD.
  • Coordinate processes for complete model life cycle development and functionality (3D model development and integration).
  • Review and validate construction models, including clash detection.
  • Develop project Navisworks federated models.
  • Provide and format information from virtual models for presentations and reporting construction progress.
  • Develop construction documents, including plans, sections, details, and specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience with a strong understanding of model development procedures and VDC functionality for design and construction.
  • Solid knowledge of construction practices and construction sequencing.
  • Experience developing construction documents, including coordinated plans, sections, details, and specifications.

Skills

  • Understanding of 3D models for visualization and 4D models linked to project schedules for simulation.
  • Experience with BIM execution plans and document sharing platforms (e.g., BIM 360, SharePoint).
  • Ability to work independently with senior review.
  • Proficiency with Navisworks, Point Cloud, Holobuilder, and Bluebeam (preferred).
  • Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, Bentley, ArchiCAD, SolidWorks, or Synchro Pro (a plus).

Pay

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000. Actual salaries will vary based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
