BIM Coordinator I

About the role

The BIM Coordinator I plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth coordination between various aspects of electrical projects. They collaborate closely with field supervisors and project managers to integrate BIM models with the physical project site.

Responsibilities

• Participates in coordination teams to facilitate field integration with BIM models.
• Coordinates electrical systems during project execution.
• Develops model intelligence for project-specific needs or revised standards.
• Attends coordination meetings and documents all changes.
• Reviews project BIM requirements and ensures installation drawings are accurate.
• Works with the field to create installation drawing schedules and reports any impacts to the project manager.
• Reviews model exports for constructability and documents changes.
• Uploads required files to the project site and back-checks work for accuracy.
• Prepares and distributes documents as needed.
• Manages and prioritizes multiple tasks while adapting to changing priorities.
• Communicates effectively with all levels of employees and external stakeholders.
• Adheres to confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the electrical construction industry.
• Knowledge of electrical symbols.
• Basic working knowledge of detailing and coordination applications software.
• Understanding of 3D coordination with other trades.
• Fluency in Autodesk Navis / Glue and Autodesk Design Review.
• Proficiency in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Effective team player.
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.
• Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications

• Basic working knowledge of the most current detailing and coordination applications software in use by REI.
• Understanding of 3D coordination with other trades.
• Reading 2D plans, electronically or hard copy.
• Fluency in Autodesk Navis / Glue and Autodesk Design Review.
• Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and external stakeholders.
• Adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $35.10 - $46.50 hourly. Candidate's pay can vary based on location, job-related experience, skills, and education.
