Responsibilities

  • Supporting BIM initiatives through training, technical support, software deployment, and template and content creation.
  • Assessing, investigating, and understanding clients' business needs.
  • Improving BIM workflows by identifying, demonstrating and integrating AEC software solutions such as Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Working alongside clients to identify opportunities for improvement and achieving business goals.
  • Assisting Client BIM teams with Technical Support.
  • Communicating feedback and recommendations post service delivery.
  • Growing and maintaining respected, long-term, trusted advisor relationships with customers and other members of the Symetri team.
  • Assisting Symetri projects, which include 3D modeling, software automation, coordinating clash detection, assembling electronic document handovers, and data-gathering for building owners' asset management initiatives.
  • Performing quality control checks on electrical BIM deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Documenting workflows, modeling decisions, and coordination logs for project traceability.
  • Maintaining documentation and version control of BIM models and datasets throughout project phases.
  • Field PLD tasks from Clients ensuring layout is based on industry best practice and in alignment with the client’s expectation for their means and methods.
  • Supporting the Sr. Electrical BIM Lead or Manager in project planning, resource allocation, and reporting tasks as needed.
  • Mentoring junior team members on BIM best practices, model integrity, and interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Serving as an internal electrical BIM subject matter expert (SME).
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of BIM practices through research, tool customization, and knowledge sharing.
  • Providing feedback and suggestions to improve internal tools, plug-ins, and processes.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of Electrical design processes and systems and the constructability of those systems.
  • At least 3 years of experience using Autodesk Revit supporting designers and construction teams in the MEP disciplines.
  • Demonstrated and recent direct experience with the process, workflow and use of Autodesk Revit and including interoperability with other analysis software from conceptual design through construction.
  • Bachelor's degree in MEP Engineering, or equivalent design or BIM management experience.
  • Industry accreditations preferred.

Skills
