Billing Specialist-Remote ( within US)

2+ month contract going until the end of October with potential to extend. Remote. Bilingual in Spanish is a bonus.

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing & Invoicing Analyst to support the accurate processing, validation, and delivery of customer invoices and billing information. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve billing discrepancies, ensure appropriate documentation, support tax and audit requirements, and identify opportunities to improve billing processes and efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills, advanced Excel capabilities, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Validate customer support and system data to ensure accurate booking and invoicing of new billing contracts within Salesforce (SFDC).
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to obtain required documentation and resolve system or billing discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain electronic checklists and tracking records for billed customers with special billing circumstances.
• Process and distribute customer invoices and upload invoices to third-party purchasing platforms, such as Ariba and Coupa, when applicable.
• Maintain and update ITM files and other systems with accurate invoicing information.
• Validate that applicable taxes are accurately calculated and applied to customer invoices and collaborate with the Tax Department to resolve tax-related issues.
• Process customer credits, billing adjustments, and other invoice corrections as needed.
• Maintain and organize documentation in SharePoint to support internal and external audit requests.
• Collaborate with Collections, CRM, Revenue Recognition, and other cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve billing inquiries and customer disputes.
• Escalate complex billing issues when necessary to ensure timely and appropriate resolution.
• Develop a strong understanding of billing processes and proactively recommend improvements, efficiencies, and process enhancements.
• Support ad hoc projects and other business initiatives aligned with organizational priorities.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive financial and customer information.

Pay

$35/hr
