Billing Specialist

We are looking for a Billing Specialist to support invoicing and accounting activities for a long-term contract opportunity based on-site in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working with high-volume billing tasks, performing detailed calculations in Excel, and maintaining accuracy across financial records. The position will partner with accounting operations to ensure invoices, tax-related entries, and ledger activity are processed correctly and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately using PeopleSoft while meeting established billing timelines.
• Perform billing calculations, reconciliations, and supporting analysis in Excel to validate charges and payment details.
• Record journal entries and maintain organized financial documentation to support day-to-day accounting activity.
• Review general ledger data for billing accuracy and help resolve discrepancies through careful research.
• Apply knowledge of sales tax and corporate tax considerations when processing invoices and related accounting records.
• Assist with month-end billing support by verifying transactions, balances, and supporting schedules.
• Work closely with internal accounting partners to address invoice questions and ensure complete financial records.

Requirements

• Experience in billing, invoicing, or accounting support within a corporate environment.
• Working knowledge of PeopleSoft or Oracle for billing or financial transaction processing.
• Strong Excel skills, including the ability to perform detailed calculations and organize financial data.
• Understanding of journal entries, general ledger processes, and account reconciliation.
• Familiarity with sales tax and broader corporate tax concepts relevant to billing operations.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage accurate work in an on-site setting.
• Availability to work 100% on site in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for the duration of the assignment.
