Billing Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Accurate submission, follow-up, and collection of claims for Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) services across multiple states and Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs).
• Ensuring claims align with approved authorizations and contracted rates.
• Following up with Medicaid and MCO payers to secure timely payment.
• Maintaining working knowledge of multi-state Medicaid billing requirements.
• Tracking billed days versus authorized days and maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of behavioral health or healthcare billing experience.
• Experience billing Medicaid and Managed Care payers.
• Strong understanding of authorization-based billing processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience billing PRTF or residential behavioral health services.
• Multi-state Medicaid billing experience.
