Billing Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and submitting accurate insurance, government, and patient claims
• Reviewing patient accounts and verifying insurance coverage
• Resolving claim denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies
• Posting payments and adjustments to patient accounts
• Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, including HIPAA
• Communicating with patients regarding billing inquiries and providing excellent customer service
• Collaborating with team members to maintain an efficient workflow

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience in medical billing
• Accuracy and compliance focus
• Proficiency with billing software, databases, and financial tools
• Experience with Microsoft Suite and electronic EMR systems (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills
