BILLING SPECIALIST

Join our PharMerica team! PharMerica is a closed-door pharmacy where you can focus on fulfilling the pharmaceutical needs of our long-term care and senior living clients. Pharmacy Technician experience and/or knowledge of pharmaceuticals is strongly preferred. Must be local to Vancouver, WA.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Interpret contract documents to ensure billing is performed in compliance with all contract terms.
- Process changes in information systems to support accurate and efficient billing and financial close.
- Facilitate and ensure accurate and timely billing of services and fees to facility clients.
- Complete interim statement reviews to ensure charges are accurate.
- Participate in month-end closing and audits as necessary.
- Provide customer support via phone or electronic communications.
- Support other departments, such as Census, when volumes or needs dictate.
- Work under general supervision.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
Requirements
- High School graduate, GED, or equivalent experience is required; a 2-year degree is preferred.
- Customer Service, Financial Service, Accounting, Technical, or other experience demonstrating problem-solving, working under strict deadlines, and producing quality outputs is required.
- Third-party billing or collections/billing experience in the healthcare industry; Framework computer experience is preferred.
- Flexibility, decisiveness, tenacity, problem-solving, practical learning, attention to detail, effective communication, dependability, responsibility, trust-building, and constructive conflict resolution are required.
- Ability to be inventive and analytical are preferred competencies.

Pay
Salary Range: USD $21.00 - $23.00 per hour.
