Billing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Generate and review client invoices to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely distribution
• Research and respond to billing questions from both internal teams and external clients
• Post incoming payments, reconcile account activity, and assist with daily cash receipt processing
• Maintain and update customer billing records, account setups, and invoicing preferences
• Process account adjustments including credits, write-downs, and billing modifications
• Cook up with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and support ongoing billing operations
• Absorb with maintaining organized financial records and supporting departmental reporting needs
• Participate in additional finance and administrative projects as assigned

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• 3+ years of experience within billing, accounts receivable, or accounting support functions
• Prior experience within a professional services environment is highly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential financial information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience working within billing or accounting systems required
• Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced setting
