Billing Specialist

We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business. The Billing Specialist supports a variety of divisions, ensuring accurate and timely client billing and proactively working with clients to resolve potential disputes and questions.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of customer invoices and all associated documents.
- Ensure the accuracy and timely processing of customer payments.
- Communicate potential billing errors to appropriate resources for further investigation and follow up to ensure resolution.
- Reconcile client accounts, identifying and working through any discrepancies.
- Proactively communicate and work with internal and external clients regarding account balances, payment issues, and customer disputes.
- Work with the Development team and senior members of the Billing Operations team to define requirements and perform testing of automation initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of appropriate accounting practices to carry out the billing function professionally.
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
- Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (e.g., Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to complete work assignments in a timely manner.

Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Foundational knowledge of accounting practices required.
- Prior billing experience preferred.

Pay
$18.69 to $23.37 an hour.
Schedule
This position is based in a traditional office environment with standard business hours. Occasional overtime, weekend shifts, or holiday work may be required based on operational needs.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with standard lighting and noise levels. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential. Employees must comply with company policies regarding data security, time tracking, and collaboration tools.
Physical Demands
- Frequent communication (verbal and written).
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and operate a computer and office equipment.
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 15 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing may be required.
