Billing Specialist

About The Role As the Billing Specialist you will work closely with Project Managers to ensure timely billings. Work is performed using general instruction and procedures, with supervision from the Senior Billing Manager. Develop efficiencies and most appropriate methods to handle information. Requires solid communication skills, interpersonal skills and secretarial skills. Knowledgeable of accounting financial systems and procedures, company policies, and department operation. Work Environment: In office full-time. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following Prepare T&M, GMP (guarantee max project) and AIA billings per contract specificationsProcesses billing in a timely manner and in accordance with customer billing requirements.Check billable items for correct sale priceReview invoices to ensure billing accuracy.Organize and file appropriate documentation in the Job Folders, including copies of outside platform invoices, purchase orders, lien waivers, and other billing informationMaintain familiarity with and ensures compliance with policies and proceduresOther duties as assigned Qualifications Only Minimum Qualifications Necessary To Perform Job Functions. 3-5 years of experience in a role including billing functionsProficient in ExcelConstruction industry experience preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and in a group settingAbility to multi-task and prioritizeWillingness and adaptability to take on tasks outside of job description based on business needsStrong knowledge of all Microsoft Suite programsAttention to detail and commitment to ask questions if help is needed to minimize errorsExperience in Bluebeam preferred, but not required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations High School diploma or GED.Notary What You Can Expect From Cleveland Electric Company Eligible for Performance BonusAetna PPO and HSA plans - eligible for coverage upon start dateDental PPO and HMO plans - eligible for coverage upon start dateFree Vision plan401(k) with Employer MatchShort and Long-Term Disability15 days of PTO (Accrued) and 8 paid holidays.
