Essential Functions

• Request and process all bills to third party payors and patients
• Accurate and timely data entry of charges, payments, adjustments and other transactions
• Timely follow-up to insurance companies on billing submitted
• Prepare bank deposits and post cash and adjustments to patient records
• Balance A/R and maintain supporting reports
• Retrieve and perform electronic billing to insurance companies
• Make follow up calls to insurance companies and guarantors
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned

Education/Experience/Skills Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Additional college course work preferred
• Three years of business office experience, preferably in a hospital or medical office
