Essential Functions
- Request and process all bills to third party payors and patients
- Accurate and timely data entry of charges, payments, adjustments and other transactions
- Timely follow-up to insurance companies on billing submitted
- Prepare bank deposits and post cash and adjustments to patient records
- Balance A/R and maintain supporting reports
- Retrieve and perform electronic billing to insurance companies
- Make follow up calls to insurance companies and guarantors
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned
Education/Experience/Skills Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Additional college course work preferred
- Three years of business office experience, preferably in a hospital or medical office
