Billing and Recovery Specialist (Full-Time)

About the role

The Billing and Recovery Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate billing and recovery processes are followed. This includes reviewing claims, processing payments, and resolving discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Review and process insurance claims to ensure accuracy and compliance with insurance policies.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and discrepancies between patient accounts and insurance companies.
• Communicate with patients and insurance providers to resolve payment issues and inquiries.
• Ensure all billing and coding practices adhere to industry standards and regulations.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports on billing and recovery activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in healthcare billing and collections.
• Strong knowledge of medical coding and reimbursement guidelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
