Job Description Relapath is currently recruiting for a Billing and Collections Specialist in Ypsilanti, MI. This is 100% onsite in Ypsilanti, direct-hire, offering competitive salary and benefits. Keys MUST have experience in billings and collectionsMUST have experience and be comfortable with high volume calling POSITION SUMMARY Billing and Collections Specialists are required to contact clients and collect outstanding payments, including making multiple phone calls, emails, text messages, per day. The Billing & Collections team is responsible for other aspects of collections, such as resolving customer billing problems by updating customer contact information, and other issues as required. The Billing & Collection Specialists should exhibit professionalism, trustworthiness, and always align with company core values. This position will utilize your excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently. Duties And Responsibilities Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debtsInvestigate historical data for each debt or billFind and contact clients to ask about their overdue paymentsExpected to make 50 to 75 outbound collection calls per day.Take actions to encourage timely debt paymentsProcess payments and refundsResolve billing and customer issuesUpdate account status records and collection effortsReport on collection activity and accounts receivable status QUALIFICATIONS 1 Year of proven experience with (AR) Accounts Receivables, Billing and Collections.Customer service and account management experienceKnowledge of billing procedures and collection techniquesFamiliarity with AIA billing and lien waivers (preferred, but will train)Working knowledge of MS Office and databasesPatience and ability to manage stressExcellent communication skills (written and oral)Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and drive to succeedOutstanding Attitude, Positive mindset, and willingness to smile in the face of adversity EDUCATION High School Diploma or GED (Required)Associate or bachelor’s Degree – Accounting or Finance (Desired)
