Billing Analyst

Responsibilities

• Analyze billing and accounting data to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas requiring follow-up.
• Prepare, review, and extract financial and operational reports to support day-to-day business decisions.
• Use advanced Microsoft Excel functions to organize large data sets and present findings clearly.
• Support billing activities by validating charges, reconciling information, and assisting with account-level analysis.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather required reporting details and resolve data-related questions.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and payroll-related analysis when needed.
• Work within financial systems, including Costpoint or similar platforms, to retrieve and interpret key information.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in billing, financial analysis, or accounting support roles.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data accurately and efficiently.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reporting, data manipulation, and spreadsheet analysis.
• Comfort working with financial systems and technology tools in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience reviewing accounting reports and translating findings into actionable information.
• Legal billing experience is preferred.
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, payroll, or FP&A activities is a plus.
• Familiarity with Costpoint is beneficial.
