Charter Steel, located in Cleveland, OH is hiring a night shift Billet Conditioner. The role is a fast‑paced Melt Shop position that requires the use of torches, jackhammers, crane and forklift operations. On‑the‑job training is provided, and the company emphasizes safety as a family‑owned, stable and growing business with excellent benefits and advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Operate crane equipment
• Operate forklift

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required (if not held, enrollment in the GED Works program is required)
• Ability to learn quickly and enjoy working with hands
• Strong teamwork skills and demonstrated attendance
• Great attention to detail and ability to follow safety instructions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for the full shift
• Ability to work in hot environments (as required)

Qualifications

• Experience in production, assembly, warehouse, welding, construction, steel, or other related industries (preferred)

Pay

Starting pay: $24.25 per hour
Night shift premium: $2.25 per hour
Total hourly rate: $26.50 per hour

Schedule

12‑hour shifts: 5 nights on, 2 nights off, 2 nights on, 5 nights off; every other weekend off.
