About the role
Retail Bankers are the face of our organization and play a critical role in caring for our customers daily. You’ll receive training to successfully engage and enhance the customer experience by offering products and services tailored to their needs. The well-rounded knowledge you develop will prepare you for advancement opportunities and a robust banking career at Woodforest.
Responsibilities
- Achieve individual sales by proactively identifying, marketing, and recommending bank products and services beneficial to customers.
- Process transactions, open accounts, and perform account maintenance.
- Handle branch servicing duties such as vault balancing, cash ordering, and maintenance of automated teller machines.
- Employ problem-solving skills to address customer inquiries and concerns in a manner consistent with Woodforest Experience training.
Requirements
- 3 years of relevant and transferable sales and/or customer service experience; OR an Associate’s degree and 1 year of relevant and transferable sales and/or customer service experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree.
- Previous in-store banking experience preferred but not required.
- Must be positive, engaging, and fluent in English and Spanish.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Schedule
Full-time.
Working Conditions
- Standing most of the time, with occasional walking, moving, bending, stooping, or sitting for brief periods.
- Occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 30 lbs.
- Little to no overnight travel expected; may occasionally cover nearby branch locations up to 45 miles from your assigned branch.
