About the Role
Conduct speech and language evaluations for individuals applying for Social Security disability benefits. This role focuses on pure clinical assessment with no therapy sessions, treatment plans, or IEP meetings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pediatric speech and language evaluations
- Assess functional communication abilities and limitations
- Complete clear, accurate clinical documentation
- Deliver objective findings to support disability determinations
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active NY SLP license (or eligibility)
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English
- Experience with pediatric speech and language evaluations
Schedule
- 1 day per week in Manhattan
- 2 trips to the Bronx per month
- Flexible scheduling with 60-minute appointments
Pay
$80–$110/hour, with malpractice coverage included.
