Bilingual School Psychologist

General Responsibilities

• Carry out evaluations in the student’s dominant/native language and English, as needed.
• Administer, score, and interpret a range of assessment tools.
• Create comprehensive evaluation reports that clearly articulate assessment outcomes, strengths, needs, and educational implications.
• Create and deliver a Parent Summary of Evaluation Results in the family’s native language to facilitate meaningful parent involvement and comprehension of assessment findings in accordance with New York State Education Department guidelines on parent communication and meaningful participation in the special education process.
• Avoid non-compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations concerning evaluation practices and special education procedures.

Work Schedule

• Evaluations typically take place on Saturdays from 9 AM to 4 PM.
• Optional weekday evaluations may be available at students’ home schools.
