About the role

Cox Communications is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to create exceptional customer experiences and drive sales. The ideal candidate will connect with customers, understand their needs, and promote Cox's technology, products, and services.

Responsibilities

• Explain and demonstrate product capabilities based on customer needs
• Offer suggestions and solutions to enhance customer satisfaction
• Meet or exceed targets for customer experience, sales, and retention
• Aid in the opening and closing of retail store environments
• Handle cash transactions accurately
• Participate in workshops, special events, and product demonstrations
• Support fellow sales associates
• Stay updated on current and competitive products through regular training
• Work in various locations within the same geographical area as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Up to 2 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for consultative selling
• Ability to build relationships and adapt to diverse customer bases
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Computer literacy and aptitude for learning communication products
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds for stock room inventory
